I put my savage in the shop to get the clutches replaced and at the same time I decided to see if they could figure out my battery drain problem ( mentioned in an earlier posting). What they found out was that it was not an electical problem at all, it was an out of adjustment decompression syliniod. The mechanic said that he has never seen this problem on a Savage in all his time as a machanic. Just thought that this might be halpful to someone in the future.
